Database Administration

During the life cycle of oracle-based projects, one of the most important roles must be that of an Oracle Database Administrator. They are expected to guide and have input in the design, development, testing, performance tuning of the software and finally to maintain an organization's mission critical production databases.

TRU (UK) offers two types of Database Administration Service; the database administration role can be performed on the client's site or remotely at the offices of TRU (UK).

On-Site Database Administration

Database Administration is a very scarce Human Resource. This service is designed to compliment and assist the clients existing staff. For example the client's DBA might be absent due to maternity leave, or perhaps is on vacation. TRU (UK) can provide assistance to overcome these shortfalls. Typically these assignments have durations from a few days to a couple of weeks.  For further information click  On-Site DBA.

Remote Database Administration and Monitoring

This remote database administration and monitoring service is designed for clients who have minimal database administration and management resource; alternatively the clients own resource may be otherwise utilized. TRU (UK) can provide the client with monitoring software that will e-mail a report to the DBAs at TRU (UK) concerning the condition of the database.

This report will checked, and any problems and how the can be resolved will be reported to the client. The solution may be implemented by either the client's own staff or by DBAs at TRU (UK). To find out more about our remote database administration please click Remote Site DBA.
